Nestlé Baby Month Competition

Nestlé Baby Month Competition  

By participating in the Nestlé Baby Month Competition, participants agree to the rules set out below.

  1. This competition is limited to residents of South Africa. In addition, the following people shall not be eligible to participate in this competition:
    • Directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees or consultants of Nestlé (South Africa) Proprietary Limited (“Nestlé”) and the organisers of the Competition.
    • People who are not legal residents and/or legal citizens of the Republic of South Africa.
    • Spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the persons specified in 1.1 above.
    • Persons under the age of 18 years.
  2. The competition shall commence on 13 February 2017 and will end on 31 March 2017, both days inclusive. No entries received after midnight on 31 March 2017 will be considered.
  3. Mechanics
    To participate in this competition, participants must adhere to the following:
    1. Airtime and Cash Competition
      • Purchase 1 (one) of the participating Nestle Nido 3+, Cerelac or Nestum products and dial into the dedicated USSD string *120*1533# and follow the prompts. USSD costs 20c per 20 seconds. (Wholesale only – Purchase 2 (two) shrinks of the participating Nestle Nido 3+, Cerelac or Nestum products and dial into the dedicated USSD string *120*1533# and follow the prompts). Free SMSes or minutes do not apply. Incomplete entries may be billed by your service provider. Nestlé shall not be responsible for telecommunication failure on the part of the participant’s service provider.
      • Participants will be informed whether they are a winner or not on the USSD string. Winning participants will receive airtime directly to their phone.
    2. Cash and Instant Prize Competition
      • Purchase 2 (two) of the participating Nestle Jogolino, Nido 3+, Cerelac or Nestum products and dial into the dedicated USSD string *120*1529# and follow the prompts. USSD costs 20c per 20 seconds. Free SMSes or minutes do not apply.
      • Participants will be informed whether they are a potential winner or not on the USSD string.
      • At the time that a potential prize winner is identified, the potential prize winner will receive an SMS, which shall contain a pin code and a telephone number which the potential prize winner should call to redeem their instant prize. During this telephone call, the potential prize winner may be required to present his/her pin code, answer a few questions regarding his/her eligibility as well as be requested to submit certain documents such as proof of purchase (receipts) and a copy of his/her ID and/or driver’s license to the Nestlé representative.
      • The potential prize winner is not an actual winner until his/her submission is validated and his/her documents are completed and submitted to Nestlé. If a potential prize winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, the prize will be forfeited and a runner up finalist will be deemed the potential prize winner subject to the terms and conditions herein.
  4. The Prizes:
    Participants will stand a chance to win:
    1. - In the Airtime and Cash Competition:
      • 1 of 1000 x Instant R30 airtimes prizes
      • 1 of 3 x R10,000 cash Grand prizes
    2. - In the Cash and Instant Prize Competition:
      • 1 of 800 x Instant prizes (Mom's Pamper Treatment up to the value of R150 OR Child Friendly restaurant experience up to the value of R250)
      • 1 of 3 x R30,000 cash Grand prizes
    3. - Pamper
      • The free beauty treatment reward entitles the bearer to one free beauty treatment at any of the participating venues. Eligible winners will be informed of the various available participating venues during their call with the Nestlé representative.
      • The nature of the free treatments varies from venue to venue. The treatments offered are as stipulated by the individual salon/therapist and are non-negotiable.
    4. - Restaurant experience:
      • The free restaurant experience reward entitles the bearer to R250 voucher towards a restaurant of their choice.
  5. Grand Prize
    • The grand prize draws will take place on 27 February 2017, 13 March 2017 and 3 April 2017.
    • Each grand prize winner will be selected at random by way of a draw supervised by authorized personnel.
    • The prize winner will be required to comply with all applicable requirements set out in the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, and failure to do so will result in the prize being forfeited.
    • At the time when a potential prize winner is identified, the potential prize winner will receive a call from a representative of Nestlé or a partner agency of Nestlé on the number used to enter the competition. Upon receipt of the call the potential prize winner may be required to provide his / her email address (if available), work telephone number (if available) and a copy of his / her ID book and / or driver’s licence to a representative from Nestlé. At the time of the telephone call, the potential prize winner may be required to answer several questions about his / her eligibility and may be required to provide proof of purchase. If a potential prize winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the runner-up finalist. A potential prize winner is not an actual winner until his / her submission is validated and his / her documents are completed and submitted to Nestlé. In the event of non-compliance with these terms and conditions by the potential prize winner, the prize will be forfeited and the runner-up finalist will be deemed the potential prize winner subject to all conditions herein.
    • If Nestlé, the organisers of the competition and/or the promoters are unable to reach any of the potential prize winners within 72 hours of their name being drawn, for whatsoever reason, including incorrect telephone numbers or inoperative telephone numbers, such winner will be disqualified and a runner up finalist will be deemed the potential prize winner subject to the terms and conditions herein.
  6. General
    • The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • Nestle may require each winner to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement to enable Nestlé to ensure compliance with these rules. Should any winner be found not to have complied with these rules, he/she will automatically be disqualified and the prize will be forfeited. Winners may also be required to sign acceptance of prizes and indemnity documents.
    • The prizes are not transferable, and no substitution or cash redemption of prizes is permitted. No cash/instant prize will not be handed/awarded to a third party, but only to the verified prize winners.
    • Nestlé reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize with any other prize of comparable or greater commercial value for whatever reason.
    • By entering this competition you authorise Nestlé and the promoter, to collect, store and use (not share) personal information of entrants for communication or statistical purposes. You are entitled to decline any marketing communication by emailing consumer.services@za.nestle.com OR Dial *130*7445*1#. Any personal data submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and Nestlé’s privacy policy.
    • The winners or participants may be required to take part in publicity campaigns for broadcast or publishing purposes. Winners or participants shall at all times be entitled to decline the above request. Winners or participants that take part in any publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise. All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of the promoter.
    • The organisers of the competition reserve the right to cancel or postpone the competition at any time.
    • Nestlé reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time without any notice being given to the participants.
    • The Promoter and its agencies reserve the right to correct any errors and omissions. These terms and conditions will supersede any errors or omissions on any publicly communicated documentation or marketing material.
    • The Promoters may refuse to award a prize to a participant if there is suspicion of any irregularities or fraudulent activities.
    • No participant shall have any resource or claim against Nestlé as a result of: (a) any amendment to these terms and conditions; (b) Nestlé’s cancellation, termination, suspension or postponement of the competition; and/or (c) Nestlé’s inability, despite attempts, in line with these terms and conditions, to reach a participant.

    To participate in this competition, entrants must adhere to the following:
    • Buy any 2 of the participating Nestlé KITKAT and / or Nestlé BAR-ONE products.
    • Purchase Options:
    • Buy any 2 Nestle KITKAT (KITKAT 4 Finger Milk 45g and / or KITKAT Chunky 45g)
    • Buy any 2 BAR-ONE (BAR-ONE 55g and / or BAR-ONE Peanut 50g)
    • Buy a KITKAT and a BAR-ONE (any of the above SKU’s)
    • Dial from your cellphone *120*548528#. Entry costs 20c / 20 seconds as per USSD Entry.
  5. Participants must enter on a phone that is owned and registered to that person. No other person can use another person’s phone for competition entry purposes. If it is discovered that participants have entered of a phone that is not registered to them they will be disqualified and the entrant will be requested to refund the prizes to promoter. This is to avoid fraud and to ensure compliance to the CPA.
  6. Therefore each entrant is expected to be the owner of that phone and no singular person can enter off of another mobile phone number. This is to avoid additional fraud being conducted by multiple SIM card owners.
  7. The cellphone number is key to all entries, if the entrant has won on a cellphone number they cannot use another number in order to be contacted further, this number needs to be a number that is contactable during office hours.
  8. Each entrant is expected to have purchased the brand and be able to produce a valid till slip if requested by CLIENT NAME

    1. Participants in this competition stand a chance to win a share of R400,000 in instant cash and prizes:
      Grand Prize:
      1. Thirty Six (36) winners who will be selected by means of a random draw every week for 8 weeks and will win 1 of 36 Samsung Prizes each valued at R2,800 – worth R100,000 (Grand Prize).

        • 18 x Samsung Home Theatre System (Model HT J4500)
      2. The Prizes are non-negotiable and cannot be exchanged for another colour or model.

In addition, the potential prize winner will be requested to submit certain documents such as proof of purchase (till slips) and a copy of his/her ID and/or driver’s license to the Nestlé representative within 48 (forty eight) hours of receiving a call from the Nestlé representative. Only till slips evidencing that a participant purchased a participating product during the promotional period will be regarded as valid proof of purchase. Should a potential prize winner not have a valid proof of purchase, the prize will be forfeited and a runner up finalist will be deemed the potential prize winner subject to the terms and conditions herein.

      5. Cash Prize:
      6. Three hundred (300) instant cash winners of R500 will be drawn between 1st February 2017 and 31st March 2017 and each winner will receive R500 cash prize (Cash Prize).

  10. How to claim your prize:
    Grand Prize
    1. At the time that a potential prize winner of the Grand Prize(s) is identified, the potential prize winner will receive a telephone call in the first week of February 2017 and the next 7 weeks thereafter from a representative of Nestlé or a partner agency of Nestlé at which point he/she may be required to answer a few questions regarding his/her eligibility as well as be requested to submit certain documents to the Nestlé representative, such as (but not limited to):
      • Till Slip Proof of Purchase.
      • South African ID.
      • Proof of Residence
    2. The potential prize winner is not an actual winner until his/her submission is validated and his/her documents are completed and submitted to Nestlé. If a potential prize winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, the prize will be forfeited and a runner up finalist will be deemed the potential prize winner subject to the terms and conditions herein.
    3. If Nestlé or the organisers of the competition are unable to reach any of the potential prize winners within 48 hours of their name being drawn, for whatsoever reason, including incorrect telephone numbers or inoperative telephone numbers, such winner will be disqualified and a runner up finalist will be deemed the potential prize winner subject to the terms and conditions herein.
    4. The Grand Prize winners will be published on the KITKAT website www.kitkat.co.za and www.nestle.co.za, Twitter @KitKatSA & BAR ONE and Facebook: KitKatSA & BAR ONE by 30TH April 2017.
    5. Eligible winners will have their prizes delivered to them by a representative of Nestlé or a partner agency of Nestlé based on the information they will have shared via the above mentioned telephonic conversation.
    6. Cash Prize
    7. The following process will be followed to redeem cash prizes. The winners will be notified instantaneously via 2 x SMSs – one from TMARC Mobile Agency confirming the fact they have won and one from ABSA within 72 hours. The TMARC SMS will confirm the amount and the authorization PIN of 6 digits. The ABSA SMS will confirm the 10 digit withdrawal number as well as the amount.
    8. Winners can then go to any ABSA ATM, push CASHSEND Option and follow the prompts. Both the authorization PIN and the Withdrawal Access number are required to complete the transaction.
    9. Once TMARC and ABSA have confirmed the dispatch of codes to the winning number and confirmed the redemption of the cash from the ABSA ATM, the consumer will have no further claim against the promoter of the agency regarding the prize. If the consumer did not personally withdraw the money, the consumer must open a case to investigate further
    10. Cash Send vouchers are valid for 90 days.
  11. General

    • Eligible winners of the Grand Prize will have their prizes delivered to them by a representative of the Promotors based on the information they will have shared via the above mentioned telephonic conversation.

    • Cash Prize
    • The following process will be followed to redeem cash prizes. The winners will be notified instantaneously via 2 x SMSs – one from TMARC Mobile Agency confirming the fact they have won and one from ABSA within 72 hours. The TMARC SMS will confirm the amount and the authorization PIN of 6 digits. The ABSA SMS will confirm the 10 digit withdrawal number as well as the amount.
    • Winners can then go to any ABSA ATM, push CASHSEND Option and follow the prompts. Both the authorization PIN and the Withdrawal Access number are required to complete the transaction.

    • All Participants participate entirely at their own risk. By reading and accepting these Rules, the Participants give consent to these risks and hereby indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoters, their directors, employees and agents of any and all liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in the Competition and related events and activities, save where such damage, cost, injuries and losses are sustained as a result of the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of any of the Promoters.
    • The Promoters, their directors, employees, agents and distributors accept no responsibility and they will not, in any circumstances, be liable to compensate the Participants, or accept any liability for: (a) any inability by the Participant to use the prize in part or at all; (b) the lack of quality or any other aspect of any service which is or should be provided at any venue(s) in relation to the prize; or (c) any personal loss or injury occurring at any venue(s) arising, directly or indirectly, out of the use of the prize.
    • The Promoters, their directors, employees, agents and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any prize nor in respect of any warranties or undertakings given by any person other than the Promoters themselves.
    • The Promoters reserve the right to terminate or extend the Competition at any time. In the event of such termination or extension, all Participants agree to waive (give up) any rights that they may have in terms of the Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoters, its advertising agencies, advisors, suppliers and nominated agents.
    • By entering the Competition, Participants acknowledge that the Promotion will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the CPA. Participants undertake to expeditiously do all things necessary to enable the Promoters to comply with their obligations under the CPA including, but not limited to providing such personal information as may be required in order to facilitate handing over the prize to the Participant. Should any Participant refuse or be unable to comply with this requirement, the Participant shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize.
    • Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in these Rules, the Promoters reserve the right to amend, modify, change, postpone suspend or cancel this Competition, the Rules and any prize (which has not yet been allocated), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoters deem necessary. At the end of the Competition for whatsoever reason, all of the Promoters’ obligations in regard to the Competition as well as in regard to the prizes shall cease to exist.
    • These Rules shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the Republic of South Africa and any Participant and Nestlé consent to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa.

  1. By entering into the Everyday Good Habits Promotion, entrants agree to the rules set out below.

The terms and conditions set out below are a condensed version of the full competition terms and conditions located at www.nestle.co.za[TvN1] and participation in this Competition is governed by these terms and conditions together with the full terms and conditions (collectively, the “Rules”). Entrants are encouraged to review the full terms and conditions in addition to the terms and conditions set out below.

This competition is operated by Nestlé South Africa (Proprietary) Limited (“Nestlé”), who reserve the right in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, to amend these Rules at any time.

Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of these Rules and entrants agree to abide by these Rules.

These Rules shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the Republic of South Africa and any entrant and Nestlé consent to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa.

By participating in this competition, entrants agree to these Rules.

  1. This competition is limited to residents of South Africa. In addition, the following people shall not be eligible to participate in this competition:
    1. Directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees or consultants of Nestlé and the organisers of the Competition.
    2. People who are not legal residents and/or legal citizens of the Republic of South Africa.
    3. Spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the persons specified in 1.1 above.
    4. Persons under the age of 18 years.
  2. The competition shall commence on the 27/12/2016 and will end on 12/02/2017. No entries received after midnight on 12/02/2017 will be considered.
  3. Mechanics
    To participate in this competition entrants must adhere to the following:
    • The qualifying products for this promotion include: : MAGGI 2-Minute Instant Noodles (73G) or MAGGI 2-Minute Instant Noodles Bulk Pack (5 x 73G) in any flavour, and may be purchased from any retail stockist nationally. Please note that no other Nestle South Africa products are eligible for this Promotion, other than those products mentioned above. The qualifying products are subject to availability at time of purchase.
    • Consumer purchases any qualifying MAGGI 2 MINUTE noodle product. Consumer dials the USSD code *120*11122# and thereafter enters the last 4 digits of the qualifying product barcode, when prompted to do so, and answers three questions. Calls charged at 20 cents per 20 seconds.
    • Consumer receives automated SMS response that they have been entered into a grand prize draw.
    • If the participant does not receive an automated response within 48 (forty eight) hours of entering the competition, the participant must contact Nestlé or the promoter on our toll free number, 086 0096 116 failing which, their entry will not be considered. If the promoter or Nestlé is not contacted by a participant, the promoter and Nestlé will assume that the Participant has received an automated response. The Promoter will not be responsible for any non-delivery of entries.
    • The grand prize draw will take place by 10/02/2017 and the winners will be notified telephonically, before 17/02/2017.
    • The Promoter or their agents will endeavour to contact the prize winners on the cellular number used to enter the competition. If, however, they cannot be reached after 3 (three) attempts made within 3 (three) working days of the Promoter trying to contact them, the prize will be forfeited and another prize winner/finalist will be selected in accordance with the competition rules via a random draw.

  6. How to claim your prize:
    • At the time that a prize winner is identified and contacted he/she will be requested to submit certain documents such as their original and unique proof of purchase (receipt/till slip), dated and timed before their entry date and time, and a copy of his/her ID document to the Nestlé representative upon request. The slip is not to be written on or tampered with in anyway.
    • The potential prize winner is not an actual winner until his/her submission is validated and his/her documents are completed and submitted to Nestlé. If a potential weekly prize winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, the prize will be forfeited and a runner up will be deemed the potential weekly prize winner subject to the terms and conditions herein.
    • The winner will be allowed 72 hours to provide the requested documents as listed above and any other items the promoter.
    • Once verified the winner is to provide their preferred delivery address in writing (for week days only). The Promoter is not responsible for any unsuccessful deliveries due to the incorrect delivery address being provided.
    • Winners are to allow 15 working days for their prize delivery from when their preferred delivery address is confirmed.
    • Any additional expenses arising from accepting and using the prize will be for the winner’s own account once they have signed for their delivery (this includes any insurance for the product/s).
    • Any lost or damaged prizes once accepted and signed for will not be replaced.
    • Winners are only eligible to win once in this competition.
  7. General
    • The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Nestlé and/or any of its agencies may refuse to award a prize to an entrant if there is suspicion of any irregularities or fraudulent activities.
    • Nestle may require the winner to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement to enable Nestlé to ensure compliance with these rules. Should the winner be found not to have complied with these rules, he/she will automatically be disqualified and the prize will be forfeited. Winners may also be required to sign acceptance of prizes and indemnity documents.
    • Winners may be requested to provide proof of repeat purchases if their entry volumes are seen to be excessive in amount, throughout the promotional period, as per the Promoter’s discretion, as it is assumed that each entry is associated with a new product purchase.
    • The prize is not transferable, and no substitution or cash redemption of prizes is permitted. The prize will not be handed/awarded to a third party, but only to the verified prize winner.

  1. By entering into the Nestlé MAGGI® 2 MINUTE NOODLES Competition, entrants agree to the rules set out below.
  2. This Competition is limited to residents of Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland and Namibia with the exception of the following people:
    • Directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees or consultants of Nestlé (South Africa) Proprietary Limited (“Nestlé”) and organisers of the Competition;
    • Spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the persons specified in 2.1 above; and
    • Persons under the age of 18 years.
  3. The competition starts on 09 Jan 2017 and ends on 12 Feb 2017. No entries received after the 12 Feb 2017 will be considered.
  4. To participate in this competition, entrants must:
    • Purchase any Maggi® 2 minute noodle product, write his/her name and contact number on their entry form and place it in the relevant entry form box provided.
  5. Participants may enter this competition as often as they want.
  6. The winner will be determined by a random draw within two weeks after closure of the competition.
  7. Two prizes will be won per participating outlet.
  8. All entrants must hold a valid identity document
  9. Prizes comprise of an Adidas backpack filled with stationery items
  10. At the time that a potential prize winner is identified, the potential prize winner will receive a telephone call from a representative of Nestlé at which point he/she may be required to provide his/her ID copy to the Nestlé representative.

  14. The prizes are not transferable. No substitution, cash redemption or assignment of prize is permitted but the organisers of the Competition reserve the right to substitute the prize with one of comparable value for any reason.
  15. It is the responsibility of the winner to avail themselves to sign for the prize and collect in store. No one other than the prize winner will be allowed to sign for the prize. The winner will need to produce valid identification and proof of purchase.
  16. Should the winner not collect within 14 days the prize will be forfeited.
