Nestlé in Botswana

In 1991, Nestlé took over from agent Sam Varachia with an additional three merchandisers in Gaborone and one in Francistown. In 1999, Nestlé outsourced to two ex-Nestlé national account mangers C Vorster and S Haswell, who formed Siame Pty Ltd. The company exclusively handled grocery products.

During 2004, the turnover for Botswana on grocery alone was double that of 1999 and by 2004 Siame handled the Confectionary products for Nestlé as well.

In 2005, Nestlé Waters were added to the portfolio and in 2006 Nestlé Purina.
