French Huguenots originally introduced chicory-based coffee to South Africa and the product became entrenched in our local coffee culture.

One of the first instant coffees was developed in 1952 called Ricory and by the early 1970’s Ricory was renamed RICOFFY. This was the first granular mixed instant coffee and by the 1980’s the brand became known for its unique ‘fresh percolated taste’.

In 2002 Ricoffy joined the NESCAFÉ family to become known as NESCAFÉ RICOFFY and is the most loved coffee brand in our country.
