Fire at Nestlé Potchefstroom Factory

11 July 2014, Johannesburg: Nestlé South Africa would like to inform the public that a firebroke out at its CREMORA manufacturing factory in Potchefstroom, North West earlier this afternoon. The fire, which broke out in the electrical controlroom, has been extinguished.

There were no injuries sustained and all employees were evacuated and accounted for.

The company has notified Tlokwe Municipality and is in regular contact with them. 

“We will only know the extent of the damage to the factory once we start with the clean-up and investigation tomorrow,” said Motshidisi Mokwena, Spokesperson for Nestlé South Africa.

Nestlé South Africa would like to reiterate that there have been no injuries as a result of this incident.
